Invoices - DigiTax Nigeria

This resource takes you through creating an invoice and actions you can perform in the invoices' module of a DigiTax Nigeria business page.

Overview

Before creating an invoice, you need to create the line items that go into the invoice. Review this guide on items to learn how to create one.

Below are the sections we'll go through:

Make an invoice

Once an item is added, you can generate an invoice.

Click "Invoices" on the secondary menu and click on "Add Invoice".

Invoice attributes

Add Invoice item

Specify the:

  • Invoice issue date

  • Invoice type

  • Item

  • Unit price

  • Quantity

  • Tax Rate

Click "Add Item to Cart".

You can add more items in a single invoice.

The entered item(s) are reflected in the right column.

Here, you can edit the quantity of the invoice items or even delete them.

Add Invoice party

Party details are mandatory. You can create a party in the next step or by doing it under "Parties" sub-menu.

Specify the:

  • Party

    • Select one from the dropdown if you had created others before.

    • If none exist, click "Add new party"

      ... and enter the party details, then click "Save party".

  • Start date

  • Payment terms

You can review the sale on the next screen after you click Continue.

From the review sale screen, you can go back by clicking "Go back - Edit". Click "Submit Invoice" to save the invoice.

The topmost row is the latest invoice. That particular invoice's status switches (in quick succession) from Created to Validated to Signed and lastly to Transmitted.

Invoice options

A single row represents an invoice. Let's see what options you have, in managing a sale.

Invoice Status Details

You can view details of invoice statuses by clicking on the arrow under "Invoice Status"

Invoice Actions

From the extreme right, you have the following options:

  • View Invoice

  • Add Credit Note

  • Add Debit Note

  • View All Credit Notes

  • View All Debit Notes

View Invoice

When you click "View Invoice", a modal opens up with the invoice details as seen below.

You can click "ZOOM ME" to zoom in on the QR Code.
